Censors scare ‘Bhoot’! More jhagde in the offing!

When desi firebrand Rakhi Sawant collaborated with India’s mad-max music import from Canada ishQ Bector, the duo had hardly realized the trouble they’d fall into.

Their album titled ‘Jhagde’ has been in the news for some reason or the other, including a public spat the duo had at the launch event of their second video ‘Bhoot’, last week.

But what has hit them now, is far too serious than tiffs and spats! The Censor Board has blown the daylights out of Rakhi and ishQ, with a diktat that they need to delete or bleep out the word ‘kamine’ from the mukhda (opening verse) of their video.

The words of the song go “Kamine tera bhoot chad gaya re”. But Rakhi’s already singing a new tune. “This is cruelty. The Censor Board needs brain surgery,” she shoots, and in her trademark style, breaks into a ‘modified’ song, “Censor Board tera bhoot chad gaya re”.

While Rakhi is taking a straight dig at the Board, ishQ, who has written the lyrics, apart from singing and composing the album, is furious too. “The word ‘kamine’ has been passed so many times in umpteen films earlier. What’s the point of banning it now,” he justifies.

“The Censor Board has been ordering such frivolous cuts too often in our industry, but this time, we will not take things lying down. If need be, we will garner public support and land up at their office to protest,” he threatens.

Gosh! The crazy way this is going, it seems, the real ‘jhagde’ have just begun.

ishQ attracts Rakhi Sawant's ire!

India's mad-max music import from Canada, ishQ Bector, has a dangerous secret. Since the singer-composer loved Sherlyn Chopra's boy-cut look in Bigg Boss last month, he decided to experiment the "same" on her arch rival Rakhi Sawant, for the video of his new music album "Jhagde". And a naive Rakhi has innocently fallen for his game.

Now it wasn't long ago that Rakhi and Sherlyn fought like wild cats, after the latter quipped, "How can people compare a Mercedes Benz with a Nano". Rakhi didn't take the Nano tag too kindly, and went on national television claiming that Sherlyn was "using" her name for "cheap publicity".

When Rakhi did the ishQ Bector video of "Jhagde", she least realised, the music maniac's mischief would cost her a "copycat tag".

ishQ tries to justify, "Though Sherlyn's look was the seed, it's blossomed into a lovely flower, with Rakhi surpassing expectations. The brand new Rakhi is looking hotter than ever before and Sherlyn's no match for her."

With Pen Audio releasing the album's first video next week, ishQ's dirty secret is going to be out of the bag. Tch tch!! When Rakhi comes to know of it, we can expect fireworks from the firebrands... or should we say, jordaar jhagde!

Bector gets pickpocketed but says it was worth it!

The Aye Hip-Hopper star IshQ Bector was on his way to meet A. R. Rahman for a new project from Oshiwara to Mahalaxmi. And since he was called on such a short notice, he decided to take the train. Unfortunately, he was pickpocketed on the train. Before he realised this and could block his card, the thief had charged booze worth Rs. 50,000 to it! Now that's one boozy thief. "But the day was still worth it", says IshQ. "Rahman sir really loved my work and it was such a nice feeling to see him head banging to some of my tunes on the iPod."

IshQ Bector makes Hollywood laugh

ishQ Bector, the Aye Hip-Hopper cutie from our very own Bollywood tickled the audience funny bone in a 3 day IFC (Independent Film Channel) special series called ‘Bollywood Hero’. The series was well received by the critics and the fans alike. ishQ shared screen space with Hollywood funny man Chris Kattan and Neha Dhupia. ishQ’s character of a gay Bollywood choreographer was a hit and the fan mails haven’t stopped coming in since?then!

The series was shot in Mumbai and was aired on 6th-8th August. “The shoot was really crazy”, says ishQ fondly. “I was initially not very sure about playing a gay dude, but the produces loved me in the screen test. I acted like a full on flamer! And I hit along with the team quite well after that!” he adds.

“The funniest part was Chris Kattan dancing on the Bollywood song Bachna Ae Haseeno which had the hole unit in splits,” ishQ couldn’t stop laughing when he shared this with us.

Sounds fun to us too!

Here’s hoping that the short series will also be aired in India soon!

ishQ Bector's task-mantra is now on YouTube!

You heard it once; you’ll hear it again, the magic of rap-star Ishq Bector is now on popular internet video sharing site- Youtube. He has lately uploaded a song based on his jungle experience. Video is available on Youtube titled as “Chal Be Shaane’.

He has vent out all his shaanpatti in the album. Keeping the lyrics simple he has described the extremes of the jungle life. Language is very casual and can be effortlessly sung by amateurs. He goes all the way and pushes the envelope to convey a few not-so-happenings rules of jungle, in a full blown Eminem style.

Brilliantly done video stands secondary to the lyrics. He is all over in the video as a news presenter, wanderer in jungle and also, you can see his sensuous feminine moves, reminding us of the new junglee in the show- Nigar Khan.

First jungle ouster is very keen to go back to the jungle again. “IshQ Tak’ channel in his video has made an appeal to vote for his wild card entry in the ticker. So guys, if you want to hear more of his jungle raps, go by the ticker.

"I didn't even get to eat cockroaches" - Ishq Bector has no love for footage khaoo Fiza-Palak

Indo-Canadian Hip hopper Ishq Bector is the first celebrity to get out of the Malaysian jungle. He has expressed the desire to go back to the jungle in an interview and also shared his experience on the show. He is soon to out the video of the rap song he composed during his stay in jungle.

Are you upset with such an early ouster?
It was not long enough. I want to do some more things. I didn’t even get to eat cockroaches. I would love to go back in the wild card entry.

Are you missing your new friend Mona?
Yes very much. Mona is female version of me so we got along really well in the jungle. I taught her to rap but I was out before she could teach me acting.

Do you think this would not have been the result had the voting lines been open till your snake task?
Of course people would have voted seing my snake task. I am very quiet and don’t get into controversies to get attention so I can be only noticed for my task performance.

How was the experience of resting in coffin with snakes?
It was crazy. When they opened water in coffin I had no idea what they have let in along. I expected eels but it was snake crawling on me, it was very creepy. For the first three minutes I was anxious but then I decided to stay in the coffin, come what may, I will earn all the stars so as to feed my fellow campers. Initially it was scary, my belly was full, I was about to vomit but after completing the task when I looked back in the coffin I felt great to have shared the coffin with those beautiful crawling snakes, in fact, I was overwhelmed after completing the task.

Did rapping in coffin help you to overcome fear?
It is my task mantra Chal be Shane task kar…I composed the song in four days when I was in jungle. After coming out I have also shot the video with the title ‘Chal Be Shaane’. It is all about my jungle experience. I have not used anything of the show except the experience. I have a great team working on it and tomorrow it will be on You tube.

What went wrong in the last task?
I slipped while going to the task area and my hand was injured. Above that I had to fight the task against my old friend Anaida. All this was not allowing me to focus. She performed brilliantly and she deserves to be on the show.

As tasks will get tougher and tougher, they had reptiles in the early task so what do you think the tasks would be like in coming episodes?
I think they will have to eat worms and insects. They will have to sit in coffin with more creepy animals. I am ready to do all that and I am looking forward to wildcard entry. It will be life changing experience in jungle as we live the life of cave men where we fetch water and washed clothes. It is kind of beginning of a new civilization.

What do you have to say about non-artiste contenders Palak and Fiza?
wo log show pe footage kha rahe hai. All of us have a reason to be on the show as we all are associated with showbiz in some or the other way. I don’t see any reason for Palak and Fiza to be on the show. Palak is immature and wants to be famous by any means. If you don’t have talent you tend to adopt such means. Fiza is not at all co-operative. Abhi who sabki band bajane waali hai, as she is elected as leader this time.

Who do you want to win the show?
I want Mona, Akash or me if I am thrown back in the jungle to win the show.
